Re: Ballista is OP?

It feel like nobody's even acknowledging all those easy ways to counter that people have posted? Why all y'all so hell bent on saying it's OP without a proper argument to support it? Stratego (dev) ,,, can you first compare stats of ballistas against these counters- H. Knights , cavaliers Shield kni...

Re: Ballista is OP?

i see everyone makes now ballistas, and they are really hard to counter. my change is very minor - i think ballistas will be still popular - but maybe little less devastating. but i am open to suggestions. They are really hard to counter? I highly doubt that. Based on stats alone, 1 shield Knight c...

You may be right. I remember clearing that map in an earlier version of the game, but now I can't get through it..

Re: Coolguy is AI confirmed? :D IMPLEMENTED

I saw something too from an AI in a multiplayer. Not sure it was cool guy or not, but it was immune to range attacks( not even 1 damage from ballistas) despite having 0/0 armour. Maybe it was called Human Massacre?

Yeah, it should be both. Likewise, we should be able to cast spells on units inside tcs(friendly of course).

Re: Self-Rule / Assign friendly AI

Yeah, you're right. No new 'player', just add the following options on Multiselect- Offensive- Attack. No retreat. Workers build catapults and wagons. Defensive- Attack bit retreat if heavily injured. Workers build Walls and fortresses. Both can be controlled by waypoints, and of course, the 'Normal...

Bridge Heal bug IMPLEMENTED

Playing as dwarfs, I noticed that I can't cast spells(heal, double strike etc) on my units standing on bridges. Is this a bug or a feature?

Re: Ballista is OP?

Wagons make everything OP. Assasins in wagons can devastate castles, it wouldn't even matter if you have scouts or not. Likewise, cavalry in wagons is the bane of artillery, as they can attack as far as 11 tiles.

Re: Dwarven Blacksmith (Unit)

I agree that dwarfs need a boost. I'm fighting an orc opponent as a dwarf, and his swordsman have better stats than my special units trained in castles.
I like the idea but it should have higher cost and Cooldown to prevent OPness. Maybe a 4 turn unit with Cooldown 3.

Re: Redundant Units

Voulgier's low damage doesn't really qualify it for anti infantry. It can delay them a turn at best.
As for cannoneer, hussars or catapult (upgraded) itself are better as anti-catapult unit, and I'd more likely train trebuchets in castles. They're Awesome in the end game!

Redundant Units

Units not useful anywhere in the game should be tweaked. I can think of these, do add up if you remember anything. # Voulgier/Svardstavier - Double the cost but nearly equal damage to pikeman(considering bonuses). # Maceman/Flail - Too similar to each other. # Daimyo - 8 turns to build & the stats n...

After upgrades, archers have Greater range than heavy ballistas. Fire archers and Knights can absolutely slaughter ballistas

Re: Poison Stacking?

So people think 4 damage Stackable is OP & 3 is too low~
Why not make it 3 damage(stackable) & inflict a debuff : -1 to attack( stackable) and -1 to speed( non-stackable)
A soldier should become weak once he's poisoned, don't you think?

Re: New unit effect for assassins Sabotage Technology

Assassins have Stealing ability in the game, but not the ability mentioned here. This is about the enemy losing one tech. For example, losing 'flight' , so they can't build anymore planes without researching it again.

Re: Biological Warfare

Spreading disease would be too OP. The opponent would have to eradicate the disease in one turn or it would just spread again. Maybe such a thing could be countered by a high cost or something.

Self-Rule / Assign friendly AI

In huge maps, It's really exhausting to command each unit to move & attack & my spare workers to build towers etc. & that too each turn for 50-60 turns. So, If we can group select some troops / town etc. & Assign them "Self-Rule" i.e. they would be controlled by an AI that is our Ally. So I don't ha...

Actually, I was thinking of a new building that trained "unconventional" methods of warfare. Those being- this corpse catapult, poison archers, spies, Assasins, poison-swordsman (maybe) and a few other ideas.

Let's not do that. Reloading with bodies will require too many changes in the game.
