lance knight - IMPLEMETED

A lance was used for taking down cavalry and heavy infantry but really slow. So it could have bonus against spartan and knight but weak against swordsman and archers

slow? it is mounted on a horse isn't it? so it should be as fast as a knight

I think we shouldnt create more units cause
1.there are nearly twnty unincluded ready units and.
2.we should focus on the new versions cause i
want that they are included in play store and the peoples
That are talk in other topics leave the forum after
a short time cause they have nearly a ready game but
nothing happend.

Also i think daniel shoukd have atopic where he writw
What he do at the moment that we can help him
by this and now why he dont work on things
we suggested.

Also he is a little bit overrun by all this ideas.

Good idea.
Patroid: good idea, we need to help Daniel more.
But I don't think the answer is to cap off all new ideas.
Daniel: Could you teach some of us forumers how to do some small coding to help? Like maybe what is necessary for new units. Then we could help you out a little bit by that, and you would just have to compile it in.

I already know some parts of coding, in Java and C#, but not in Android coding though.

ideas: dont stop them, they are ok here, only we will need to filter the bests out. and ALSO!: the image! if we do not have image than the idea can never get into game :(
coding: remote-coding-teaching will not work :)
new unitS: they are easy to put in, in FAQ i wrote about the bottlenecks: the image and the proper "balanced" (at least in head) stats. If i have them and seem good, than i can put a new unit type in 20 minutes (only configuration). (i do not refer to units that will need extra coding - they can take more time (like the siege tower with special abilities towed near to enemy walls)
ollie: coding: if you can help that is cool! (but only for free - this is maybe not so cool for you :)) i have some separate modules that can be implemented by anyone since it is not in the core engine, contact me in email if you can and ought to help me! thanks!

fantasy version: sorry for being a bit stucked, but i dont have the whole thing in mind, i made this version with the few clumsy units but it seems that it will need more concentrated design (not coding! but the units , races, stats, abilities, spells) design. Sadly here in forum i have no such in one piece, only many-many ideas/fragments (that is cool! and i am happy having them!), that are not coherent and can not be a whole game.

And also i am a bit swamped in my workplace.

So currently i am gaining strength to hit tru this wall of AOF stalling.

The only GREAT help could be if someone could give a complete game design (units/stats/spells/abilities all balanced), but i have no hope for such thing, since it is huge, and there are always differences in thoughts of minds - so i see that this must be ME doing that, and all ideas we collect here can only be additives of a previously completed/balanced code design. Like in AOS: i had to make the basis, so now it is easy to put new units - easy to compare to existing balanced ones. (like recently: chariots, ballista and so on).

But besides these, i must mention: in fantasy version there is the same big bottleneck! the images!!! :)

Good news: 2 weeks ago i have iterviewed a friend of mine having great fantasy experience games/cardgames (and so on), and i have wrote these on paper (i had no time to type in yet) - these thoughts could be a great help in building the design races/units/stats/abilities.

summarize: do not stop putting ideas, but try to keep the forum clean, so put ideas in proper places with proper "subjects" - because that is also extra time too keep it clean.

have 1 turn cooldown (after use, it can't be used for 1 turn)

incrase bonus against infantry by 1000% :)
incrase movement with 1

But

decrase armor to 0
decrase pierce armor to 0

what do ya think?

That's a good idea! Then he would not have the weakness of Pikemen but would exchange it for Arrows.

Actually, he has a lance wich is not neceserily longer than a spear, so the bonus is not so great, maybe 50%?

Yep, I looked it up, and pike can be much longer than lances. With Pikes at 3-7.5 meters and Lances at 3-4 meters. So the pikeman could easy defeat the lancer without a scratch. :D
