The Truce Rules

Post by COOLguy » Wed Mar 23, 2016 1:36 pm

Hello, sometimes on Multiplayer games there are truces and cease fires, but these are inefficient because people do not trust each other or are worried that the other is violating the truce. So I thought that we could put up some rule guidelines; just something so people don't hesitate to trust a truce when a system is in place. And below we will put a ranking to show how well players follow the truce rules. Input is helpful to refine the rules and ranking.

RULES
1) High risk units like wagons and light cav and trebuchets 11 paces away
2) No making aggressive structures like castles or fortresses on border
3) No infiltration of territory
4) Contested tc's and borders belong to the holder for the duration of the truce
5) No ranged units in contested area
6) future expansion in uncontested free area must be divided into spheres of interest
7) Truce time is told at the start of the truce
All these rules can be seen by both players and thus clearly reported

RANKINGS (on a scale of -3 to 5 with 0 as the median)
COOLguy = 4.1 this player is a crafty fellow like a fox. He follows the letter of the rules completely but will not hesitate to break them if he feels his opponent is doing the same. TheBluePhoenix thinks 'this man is golden and true to his word. General fights occur but just in jest and not with villainity. I would be most honoured to have him as an ally'
Hardeep = 3.98 once this player signs a truce, he is bound for the duration of the truce or until the other player violates it; he is always trying to stop the greatest threat. However, he uses many fear tactics, betrayals, and propoganda to sway others to his side
TheBluePhoenix = 4.98 this player always abides by his word in a truce; the DCPR have not witnessed him take part in the pathetic political disputes of others. He is trustworthy and willing to destroy others that threaten him (however the DCPR caused a slight score drop)
DoomCarrot = 3.319 this player has been accused of breaking the ancient no rush law :) good ally, a bit newbie but good and tries to fight till the end. Generally is too engrossed in his own fights to help an ally , but never asks for help
Daniel (the dev) = ??? Probably he is trustworthy. But nobody has been in a truce with him to my knowledge
zarek = 0 this guy is evil :D (I am so mean - he isn't even on the forum to defend himself)
LagitKiller = 3.5 Some call him a benevolent leader, others an intolerant maniac. He has a nominal cult following, but is usually true to his word. Incredibly aggressive to all without his word of honor.
Esley = 3.76 A truce breaker who gives into others. May say one thing but do another.
First-Speaker = 4.77 Poor guy is just trying to survive. But he has class while doing it. And has gained the ability to "elaborately betray"
Darkknight = 4 An honorable fellow who will declare outright war instead of a sneaky friend/not friend tactic
RiverRaider 1097 = N/A he never calls a truce
Rose(Warrior) = 3 Seems to keep her word
Avalyn = 5 Always keeps her word

alignments
COOLALEISHAW Federation = this inseparable league of fealty and friendship is formed of the COOLnation and the Ale Burghers; it is in eternal war with the DCPR
DCPR = DoomCarrot forms this alliance of oppression of the world and little sb is a satellite nation
The Phoenix = so far this power bloc has appeared only as a mercenary nation. It has small opportunistic ties with the DCPR
The Red Alliance of Empires and Holds = DCPR + Esley has begun to form...
Amerigyar Dual-Monarchy = a loose alliance between balint and COOLguy
The Confederacy of Allied Leagues, (C.A.L.) = formed about a week ago in sires and serfs in retaliation of the DCPR and remains a formidable and united power bloc. Its founders and only members are Lagitkiller and CelticWarrior
The COOLprotectorate = This consists of the umbrella of protection provided by the COOLnation over such areas as the Aleger Islands and the Mutelands (of First-Speaker)

rivalries
Ale Nation (Hardeep) vs. DCPR (DoomCarrot) = this battle has been going on for ages... or so.
DCPR (DoomCarrot) vs. the Red Fist (Esley) = a recent feud
The COOLALEISHAW Federation vs. The Red Alliance of Empires and Holds = War!!!!!! Eternal and Dreadful! The Red Fist has been obliterated... for now.

General Info: (thank you to Hardeep for supplying analysis assistance in this section ;) )

Political Standing:
DoomCarrot Aggressive Revisionist Communist
Esley is a communist
First Speaker is a pacifist democratic socialist with a troubled past and little to lose
RiverRaider is a true patriot standing for REAL Capitalism, not crony capitalism as they have today. Pro life, anti-establishment, you name it
LagitKiller is a moderate globalist with theocratic leanings
Hardeep right wing true patriot standing for REAL Capitalism
TheBluePhoenix non-partisan
Balint right wing monarchist
Patroid is German :)
Lord-Braindead is probably an anarchist???
Daniel (the dev) non-partisan absolutist (unconfirmed)
COOLguy seems to be a Libertarian Monarchist
Darkknight is a Monarchist
Rose: Matriarch
Avalyn: A Queen

Goodness:
DoomCarrot -56.25 ( brainwashing, underfed forced labourers,)
Esley 6.2, not hesitant to murder people in their sleep if it benefits him
First-Speaker the Mute 6, A little on the warmongering side. But he fights for the survival of his people and is a citizen comrade rather than overlord
LagitKiller 1, Everything that his name implies. Will kill children, harm civilians, deny truces that are pleaded of him, murders people on a whim, and steal liberties and freedom. Clearly an establishment member, pure scum and evil, anti-human.
RiverRaider 8, not swayed by the higher good or evil, but he is anti-liberal/Tyranny. Does what he believes is best for his people
Hardeep 8 Very just to his own people, but has no mercy on the DCPR. Has had ethical accusations cast at him, namely of his management of VoteSmart and Isengard
COOLguy 7.999 Because he has seen no one with a higher than 8 score and feels that he should join the club
Darkknight the valiant: 10, probably the most caring lord out there, will surrender if that is what it takes to protect his people. Abides by the Geneva Convention, helps the downtrodden and overthrows the tyrants, everything Doom isn't to put it simply
Rose: 6 bloodthirsty
Avalyn: 9 good as gold

Honor:
Esley 4.23, a basic sense of honour, needs improvement; insists on ship spamming in spite of the Washington treaties
First-Speaker 8, Stands side by side with his people to the bitter end
RiverRaider 10, Keeps his word, never surrenders, a good man all around, if a bit obstinate.
LagitKiller 3, (look above for details) However, he holds himself to a standard of honor from which he will not deviate.
Hardeep 7.3 will die for his people; sometimes borders on lunacy
COOLguy 9.1 Has the most impeccable honor but none among thieves
DoomCarrot 2.3 (never heard of it)
Daniel (the dev) 10 easy: he never makes promises so he never has to keep them
TheBluePhoenix 4.7 He is honorable to a fault, but also has a tendency to be aggressive and blame others for the consequences
Darkknight The honourable 12, one of the noblest players I have had the fortune to play with, would rather die by his word than live with it broken. Even reports his own actions if he thinks they might be illegal
Rose: 6 Fairly honorable to her own people
Avalyn 9 lots of honor

Compromising:
RiverRaider 0 Never! NEVER SURRENDER! NEVER RETREAT! NEVER PARLEY!
Esley 7 very opportunistic, to an extent
First Speaker 6 Does whats best for his people
LagitKiller 0, (See above for details)
Hardeep 10 to certain people and situations
DoomCarrot 6 talks a hot rhetoric but is an opportunist at heart
COOLguy 9 absolutely will be willing to work out a deal. Please leave the core values alone, but anything transitive can be worked around to bring peace
TheBluePhoenix 3 generally unbending
Darkknight the venerable 10, always brokers a deal if it adheres to his code of honour and conduct
Rose: 0 NEVER!
Avalyn: 2 not really

Delusion: (this stat is reserved for special request)
DoomCarrot: 25
First-Speaker: 2.5 (because in all actuality he is improving quite a bit)

Please help expand the list with additional reports!

DoomCarrot - 2 I will bribe and kill when it benifits me,vbut I do genuinely try to help my allies
COOLGuy - 2 although I would put him at 3 for many reasons, this propoganda post makes him a 2
Hardeep - 0 he is always trying to stop the greatest threat. However, he uses many fear tactics, betrayals, and propoganda to sway others to his side
TheBluePheonix - 4 I have not witnessed him take part in the pathetic political disputes of others. He is trustworthy and willing to destroy others that threaten him
RiverRaider - 3 He fights when it benifits him, but his use of assassins makes him more dishonorable than he should be
LagitKiller - 5 He is the perfect example of a theocratic leader. He follows the will of the game engine and the will of the game engine only
Daniel - 5 The mysterious God that crushes all he deems should be destroyed
Esley - 1 A truce breaker who gives into others. May say one thing but do another. EDIT: I was mistaken, 3 - He rushes into alliances that catch him between two sides, but he does his best to make the right choice.
First-Speaker - 5 Poor guy is just trying to survive.

They only rebelled against our alliance once they received word from the Island that their brothers had been betrayed by the Red Fist. I could not even control my own men, they were so enraged they were begging to fight you.

Well well well this is a good post and will surely help in building alliances.
Well i rate myself 4 because i donot spoon feed my allies by fighting for them while they have fun, i like to prefer a one to one battle rather than rushing into an enemy all together from all sides(unless the armies attacking are all mine). I never restrict or order my allies, just suggest them the best way according to my game play experience.I never leave an ally alone whatever danger i might be in and support him in hos hardest times.
Coolguy- 5 this man is golden and true to his word. General fights occur but just in jest and not with villainity. I would be most honoured to have him as an ally
Hardeep 2 i would prefer not to mix with this ale master who tries to outbuild his enemy and uses little strategy otherwise. He boasts like a bully and when humbled, generally runs for shelter to allies. Particularly notorious for hayward thoughtless attacks on the enemy line in the spur of moment without thinking about any pros or cons.
Doom carrot: 3 good ally, a bit newbie but good and tries to fight till the end. Generally is too engrossed in his own fights to help an ally , but never asks for help
The rest, i have not played them, but soon i will
BEWARE!!!!The long lost empire of phoenicia is rising- The world is but just near the golden age, wherein men played and frolicked, without any worries at all

And don't rate yourself! Be civilized like me!
Thank you for your cooperation. And If you have a problem with Dooms rating (currently the only one in place by the most illustrious Design leader) Go to the Dispution center for helm hammerhands sake! Stop crowding this OFFICIAL thread, its bad for your ratings. Bad enough that that Carrot banners gone up.

Poor First-Speaker got -5 on OP now

He just can't catch a break. Also, this is wrong... "DCPR (DoomCarrot) vs. the Red Fist (Esley) = a recent feud"

The Red Alliance of Empires and Holds has begun to form... P.S. Sorry for nit-picking this lol

Darkknight - 4 despite his name, he is quite honorable, and outright declares war on a player rather than using sneaky friend/not friend tactics.

Corrected LagitKiller's profile. And updated various rank values.

Wait so this is actually an alliance? Sorry, I had assumed that the two differing communist factions had betrayed and turned on each other.

You can use the official complaint thread. We had to take into account double propaganda posts and adjust his mean ratio accordingly.

^edited above post to include Darkknight^ but River, as far as truce ranking goes should be N/A since he doesn't make them
I think that there should be a section pertaining to a certain commanders military might
It could be like this

Military Maverick (CoolGuy the great, Daniel the Venerable, Master strategist Hardeep ect. Ect.)
Heroic
Tactician
Competent
Novice

Please, if you are not the design leader, refrain from replying to this suggestion or you will probably be judged.... with leniency, but judged none the less

Hi,
If i remember correctly (and Darkbight is darkjee) he was a brilliant nearly heroic strategyst
Who made it hard in battles with me and Daniel. So if Hardeep gets a 4.6,
He clearly deserves a 4.8 or 4.9.

Yay! I still got a 3.209, but yay! :)

And btw, what I said about Esley being a terrible truce breaking ally I take back, that was due to a confusion that the evil Alemeister's created to cause dispute between their enemies
The day is coming when a single carrot, freshly observed, will set off a revolution.

Guilty as charged :D
My very existence throws them off balance as I harness ancient RiverRaider tactics to decimate mighty armies and overpower a full alliance against me in which I have only 1 fourth of the map versus the entirety of the island with everyone who dares oppose me scattered to the wind. :D

I bet if this happened to you DoomCarrot, (which it never will ) you'd call to nerf TC production so that or the more you own the longer it takes or something like that. ;)

Please don't tell them how to up their game CoolGuy, its like childs play for me right now
