21-cm Nebelwerfer (German)

A cool looking 5 barrel launcher which fired a 21 cm "spreng" with a 90 pound war head containing 22.4 lbs of T-N-T. This was a very cheap and fast artillery piece compared to others so...

moment - 4
cost - 2
hp - 5
bonus - buildings and infantry
gems - 4
bonus movement on sand (This weapon was used in Africa)
range - 3
attack - 5 times or 2 times with area damage.

9 tiles would be too much, just imagine what would it become.
Although it would inaccurate, but 5 times is very much(sorry to be an arguemental creature  )

Wait 8'500-10'000 kilometers?! Nazi's hadn't such a thing.
And if 8'500-10'000 meters than it must have at most 3 tiles range because "Katysha's" had from 5 up to 12 kilometers range in different modifications.

Also "Katyusha's" had 12-24 rocket-propelled shots with up to 20 kilo's (44 lbs) of gunpowder. So this thing must be at most similar or weaker than "katysha"
4 speed for an artillery-type unit without transport is waaay too much. 2 speed and 3 on sand at most. It isn't with some engine near it.

The rule for artillery piece or AA guns.
1 movement only.

10,000 kilometers does not equate to 9 tiles.
In my opinion, the math was always by approximately each 3,000 km of the actual range of a weapon, is one tile of range.
I would say 3 range is fine.

Actually "pussinboots" the range is 8km no joke this weapon had some range to it and it was inexpensive.

also this weapon was versatile with Hp rockets, gas rockets and smoke rockets.

Yes the range was 8'500-10'000 meters. It is very surprising.

Many other sources point to something of around:
-7,850m (Wikipedia) = 7.8km
As it turns out you can only get over 8.5 with yards not km.
-7,760 yd (Lone Sentry)
Yards not km.
-6,900m (Weapons and Warfare) = 6.9 km
More reliable than Wikipedia.

If we divide by 3,000 we will get 2 tiles of range.
Since tiles are not linear.
With 2,500 we have about 3 again.

"Pussinboots" I have a old encyclopedia made in 1952 about ww2 at home. This it what it says... "This had a range of 8,530 yards, though some rockets reported to reach a range of 10,00 yards..."

10,00 yards == 5 miles == 9 km
5000 yards == 3 miles == 8 km

However.. 10,00 yards is a long way!
and also "pussinboots" there is a 30 cm nebelwerfer which is a bit different, it could be an upgrade to the 21-cm

Probably,we can adjust the range, not to make it invincible

Books aren't always reliable, but I can trust that source. For now.
Anyways...
As I said before range is 3. :)
I think the larger 30 cm could be an upgrade with extra range. (+1)
More damage as well, which I believe is calculated by xls for now.

Aye! we will go with your the 30 cm upgrade, but we need a vote on this, area damage action twice or five separate actions. area damage twice is more realistic with the five barrels and all.

I prefer five actions, that sounds cool, moreover,it looks quite near to the real weapon.

Haha me too, but to be realistic it needs to attack twice but with area damage.

Maybe it should have a cool down.

How about new mechanic, "volley shot."
It can fire off a set amount of actions, reducing the time spent shooting each shot individually. Then again, it could be more realistic in that it can't fire at every angle in one turn. The player must select one. Wouldn't it be satisfying to watch multiple rockets fire at one target at one command?

Of course, accuracy should be taken into account for each rocket fired. Sounds should fire off at each launch as well.

Very nice idea! This rocket firing artillery will have he shot and how about gas shot, but for sure armor piercing shot.
