Alternative TC mode

Post by Sunrise Samurai » Sat Aug 12, 2017 3:14 am

I was looking through the age of alerts variant of aos. It seems to be a pretty dead topic, but some good ideas can be recycled from it. One being the idea that the game only generates 1 tc per player, then let's you build structures to further facilitate building a bigger base. Since not everything can be built in factory buildings yet, I would go with fully functional versions of artificial tcs that can build anything. These would have health and armor based on race. Possibly even attack power or spells. (Undead tc could dig corpses, for example.)

I'm thinking this could be an alternative game mode, where number of tcs can be set to "only 1." Anyone else want to see this? Please suggest stats. I'm expecting high cost for these, or even a system where the build time gets higher the more you own, where the first takes 3 turns to build, then each one after costs 3 + 3 more for each you already have as a sample cost.

The images here would be a good place to start.
