Do you think we need a page for all game mechanics?

I have thought about such page, I think it is important because people would go there to figure them out. Like the undocumented information.

Portal is used to navigate you around the forum faster. Example on AOE wiki below:
http://ageofempires.wikia.com/wiki/Pike ... pires_III)
See the bottom of the page.

Also, I think it is a good idea to add the portal. However, might it be easier to just have a "back to units page" link somewhere, instead of having to add all those links for every page?

It seems good but here is a random mess of topics to at least touch there:
* inaccuracy (slinger, catapult)
* difference in storing units in TC (attack goes to units) and in other carriers (attack goes to carrier)
* destroyed carriers drop only one stored unit (unless it is a shipyard or unless they are in TC, at least currently, then they drop nothing) and you may IIRC even not get points for those other stored ones that get destroyed this way
* buildings without storage space (blacksmith)
* units that can't capture
* units that can't be stored
* units on bridges (what happens when they get attacked or the bridge brakes)
* carriers in carries and moving units between them
* units in carriers are stored in random order that changes each round, inability to set this to a preferred order of units (say, swordsman first, only then those two workers)
* use of attack or abilities in various carriers (priest can heal from wagon but workers can't build from it)
* when are units produced and when healed by buildings
* production is not stored, changing it midway makes you lose the progress
* units from other factions that you manage to change to your one keep their effects
* fast healing (when you store both damaged unit and some healer in the same building)
* how are points calculated (TC owning, units produced, units constructed, units destroyed)
* invisibility and ability to see invisible units
* fog options
* how you can battle fog and invisibility with info about movement and attack options of enemy units
* allies

Maybe rather for game info and not gameplay info:
* different message options (intro = start, information = with button, talk = without button, message = on the right)
* different chat options (central MP, game chat, ingame messages), pings, allies/all option

A revealed upgrade chart might be something a new unexpierienced would be looking for in the wikipedia as well. Which will give it some differentiation from the help documents.

Agreed, that would probably be most useful for new players.

Ehm... Wikipedia is a wiki. Projects on Wikia or other such portal are wikis too. Not all wikis are Wikipedia though.
