Shorter range than warship but bonus against them to do more damage or maybe fire damage like the fire archer but start at 3 instead of 5to keep from being too over powered . Theres a map in campaigns that is a huge sea battle and with a lot of warship on warship doing only 1damage at a time made them pretty much useless. Basically had to have 20-25 workers building catapult ships the whole game. Need to have something that does ok damage to other ships that is between the ranges of catapult ship and trireme
Suggestion: The Flag Ship bearing bonuses to ship units only, also maintains a high defense against all ship units but In return Does less damage to water units and little too no damage to land units and buildings. This "Flag ship" would be like a priority target not so much as it's killing everything it just take some major damage to destroy. Like a tank. The flagship is for bonus support and Damage absorption giving Your naval units breathing room from incoming attack. As (when against a.I.) it targets The flagship due to it's Ability to be hard to kill. While supporting The players water units with Small additional bonuses within a certain tile radius. 8 turns to build. Perhaps The Flagship receives a reduction of movement in "light water" having to move slower the in "dark water tiles" because Its size.
