For orcs it is really bad idea.
Especially with combination of troll shaman (second usage of sacrificed units) or with orc warlock (second sacrifice of undead unit via hell of pain by sacrifice).
Orcs already have too much (and some are clearly op for all exept of alex) unit combinations, we don't need even more for them.

Remember: orc lich changed name to spirit breaker
Move to only tc, reduce strengthen to normal strengthen, lifelink might need to change into something else like Energy siphon or better yet disenchant due to the blood lust ability, dark burst seems fine, can act like magic missile with fear addition but at range 5. Lower speed to 2.

Power mutated orcs armour to 1/1 or 0 and raise hp to 32.

This should make it fine. The reason I don't see a problem with this is because as I said on the magic topic, each race can get more spell casters but humans can make use of a wider range of spells for one unit, Orcs can settle for 4 spells, Their is nothing wrong with other races gaining more spell casters if they fall within specific parameters.

Besides, I think he works somewhat like how dwarves cleric does, notice the upgrade part? I believe he meant this unit to require an upgrade for a certain amount of turns before you unlock him.

As long as he remains within 4 spells he should be fine.
Let's settle for:

Strengthen
Dark burst
Summon orc abomination
Slowing

Okay so if we can't do the specific sacrifice thing we can do one of 2 things:

1) attempt to do sacrifice ability only list things the unit can sacrifice. (I think that's doable.)

2) make him only able to mutate himself.

Other wise for abilities we could do:

Unmatched strength- rng:3, cool: instant, gives +3 to atk, +2 to both armour, and -5 to casters hp.

Life link - rng:3

Dark blast - rng:5, cool: instant, dmg:8, causes fear on enemy. Not affected by resistance.

Summon orc abomination -rng:1 or self, sacrifice target orc or faster self to summon an orc abomination.

Now if we have too much trouble with the sacrifice specific unit thing then let's settle for him sacrificing himself to turn into an abomination. What would be hilarious would be if after 3 turns the abomination turns neutral and goes out of control. But we can settle for a abomination that player can't control but is still in players side.

Too much for itself
as playable, as ork.
Not so thematic, not lore correct.
And even makes orcs Op agains everybody.

No for a new op caster from TC
No for 2 action caster
Warlock has lifelink. (And hell sacrifice - so dark spells)
Have better solution to spend those 7 turns
For a giant - fair
No strength with auras too much.

It has 2 actions? I agree no on that, but spells must be 4. As for warlock we could take away some of its spells to prevent it from being too powerful. Right now he has 6 spells and it should be 4 at least. This one would be like a more support/ offensive caster. It's not as powerful as the warlock in the perspective that it has less offensive spells and most likely will only be able to mutate himself.

Btw, from what I've noticed humans may be getting dark spell casters anyway. Orcs have been known to use dark magic I don't see how it is unheard of.

I've figured it out! Warlock can keep his spells, this guys going to be an orc unique unit. :)
This way we can give him a bit different spells:
Strengthen: rng:4
Energy siphon: rng:4, dmg:4, heal:4 energy siphon shouldn't be too strong so this is a based on how strong it should be.
Dark burst: rng:5, dmg:8, causes fear
Summon Orc abomination: rng:1, sacrifice a unit and summon an orc abomination that is uncontrollable
