Bet based multiplayer games - IMPLEMENTED

I thought of a new gem earning option: BETs.

- One can create a game with a bet option eg. 4 gems, he must pay the 4 gems to create the game.
- anyone wants to join will pay 4 gems to join.
- all gems paid for entering the game will be the sum of the winning price
- the winner will get the whole stash.
- if there are multiple winners than the stash is divided equally (round up).

example:
- bet game with 4gem, 4 players, 2v2 (team A and team B)
- all players pay 4 gems to create and join
- so the winning price (the stash) is 16 gems
- if team A wins than
- both team A members will get 8-8 gems.
- team members in B team will get nothing.

what do you think?

Extra rules
- the price is only paid if the game lasted eg. more than 10 turns (to avoid gem cheating, creating accounts on one phone and "transferring" the initial 20+50 gems to an other account)
- if it is less than the 10 turns than only join fee is returned (4 gems in the example above)
- maximal bet is eg. 500gems (to avoid extra high bets, avoid making games where no one can join)
- prerequisite: the TC generation algorithm must be fixed prior - these games must not generate unbalanced maps.

Sounds very cool, however it could create some animosity among players...but it's a great idea :-)
It's better to keep your mouth shut and let people wonder if you're a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...

I like it! I assume a player that is kicked from the game (ie, does not take their turns) is classed as if they had lost?

^^That sounds fair...it's a great idea!! :-) should there be a cap on the number of gems required for the entry fee? Also, how difficult would the coding be to write? Will all maps be playable for the bet-matches?

...i have an idea for a match type, also, but I'll make a separate thread for it...

what about spectators beting?
because I don't play multillayer games often...

spectators: i don't know how to imagine that, that is not even playing, only kibitzing, what is ok in an RTS but in a TBS ? that would be boring i guess.
Will all maps be playable for the bet-matches?
yes, same maps as we have now for multiplayer.

i have got a small question:
on a 2v2 map, where 3 persons are getting kicked. How will the gems be divided when the last person wins?
