I think that would be interesting if towns became much more than just tatical points in map... But considered as units aswell, something like "Age of Empires" towns, but when destroyed, the TC would not vanish, but would turn neutral (killing all units inside it, or at least allow some to escape to a tile nearby if not occupied, with that, Special effects, attributes and stats could also affect Tc's, like:

- To have special types of towns as flying towns (can only be captured by flying units and can offer bonues to nearby units), naval towns (towns in sea)...
- Many effects as burning or stealth became able to affect towns.
- Upgrades for the town itself (eg: increased health, attack range or attacks per turn)
- Individual upgrades that affects units inside it (more dmg or range to all units inside)

Those are just some of the few ideas i got when i stopped to think about that... Pretty sure more could be done with that.
