Armed with 2 swords and a bow and dressed in light armors. The ranger keep a animal companion (usually bears, wolves, hawks and so on) and has some magic abilities related to nature (healing, regeneration, entangle, buffs).

I think the cloack might look better as a natural color. Like brown or green or greenish brown.
Just a thought.

Base it on the templar.
I was in wait of such a ranged cum melee cum attack unit.but it should be costly

About stats i'd say:
Attack (melee) 12
Attack (ranged) 8
Range (melee) 1
Range (Ranged) 5
Pierce Armor 3
Heal Rate 6
Spell Resistance 80%
Switch stance (used to swith melee with ranged mode, it doesn't cost an action point)
Entangle (debuff, aoe, enemy units affected have to pass a check with that % 100-(target attack*5), if they don't pass the check they can't move until the next turn (they can still attack))
Regeneration (range 2, duration 4, doesn't stack, the effect heal half the ranger heal rate every turn)
Hawkeye (buff, range 2,duration 4, increase target range (ranged units only) by 2
Summon Animal companion (like druid wolf summon, but we might think of a different animal)
Built at Archery range, Barracks, Castle (it is both melee and ranged and it is an elite unit)

It is surely a stronag and useful unit

I agree, those stats look very good, and the unit seems very stronag.

So he can say aoe without any confusion but if I do the topic becomes centered around it?
Posted: Sat Aug 13, 2016 4:35 am
When has the term aoe been the source of any confusion?
Posted: Sat Aug 13, 2016 7:11 am
I don't know uf you can aoe at range in aos, i would prefer that than being stuck to aoe around the unit
Posted: Sat Aug 13, 2016 11:20 am
Bit confused due the Name caus a Ranger is already Implemented for AOS and it would be strange to have that strong difference in stats.
Maybe something like Guard oft thr Forrest vor some Fantasy Stuff. If you completly disagree i would und er stand that (vor Ranger of the North

Ranger in fantasy rpg are different from rangers in the real world, so i think that would'nt be a great problem
Posted: Sat Aug 13, 2016 3:43 pm
I think the name Ranger is fine.
I agree it is a little strange since it is also a different unit in AoS, but these are two different games.

This is the image that we might use for ranged stance

Daniel, what about this?
Posted: Tue Aug 23, 2016 8:20 pm
nice, but i suggest this onto the vote sessions (soon i will suggest AOF too to be voted as AOS)
i try to fill in the gaps in other races to start the voting - humans are already a detailed race.

Still humans (imho) need some real fantasy unit to give them more flavor

So, I noticed you've still not decided on wether or not the danger should summon a wolf of something like so how's a hunting dog to take its place? I have an image ready in case you want that.

Lol a topic nearly 3 years old.
And the name needs to be changed.
Their is already a ranger in game
Posted: Wed Sep 19, 2018 6:04 am
That's Elven hunt ranger, not ranger. Name seems fine.

Here's the dog. Before I forget.
Posted: Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:17 am
This unit would be nice for elves but for now let's focus on the other 4 needing help
Posted: Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:55 am
Nope this is human.

Eh regardless this can wait
